Privacy and cookies
This site has no accounts, no sign-up and no contact form, so there is very little to tell you. What there is, is below.
Who runs this site
Core Holidays is operated by JG Core Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16218779, registered office c/o Burton Varley Ltd, The Counting House, 24 Richmond Road, Bowdon, Altrincham, WA14 2TT. JG Core Ltd is the data controller and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZC079115. For anything on this page, write to info@jgcore.com.
Analytics cookies, which are optional
If you accept, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It sets its own cookies (_ga and one beginning _ga_) which last up to two years.
If you do not accept, or do not answer, Google Analytics is not loaded at all: no cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google. Our legal basis for analytics is your consent.
Your answer is kept in your browser’s local storage under cookie_consent. It never leaves your device.
Advertising cookies, which are optional
The site shows Google AdSense ads, which help pay for it. Only if you choose “Accept all” do we load Google’s ad script, which sets Google’s own cookies (such as __gads and __gpi) to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure them. They last up to 13 months.
If you choose “Reject all” or “Analytics only”, or do not answer, the ad script is not loaded at all and nothing is sent to Google’s ad servers. Our legal basis for advertising is your consent. Google uses this data under its own terms: how Google uses advertising data.
If you email us
If you email any coreholidays.co.uk address, including a reply to an email from us, we keep your message, your email address and name as sent, and any attachments, and use them only to reply (lawful basis: legitimate interests). Email is received and stored encrypted by JG Core Ltd on Amazon Web Services in London, and deleted 12 months after it arrives.
Counting traffic, which is not optional
Every request is counted once, on our own servers, so we know whether the site is being read and whether search engines and AI crawlers can reach it. This does not use cookies and does not depend on your answer above.
What is kept is a daily total, not a record of you: the page’s host, whether the visitor looked like a person, a search engine or an AI crawler, whether they arrived from an AI tool, and an approximate country, region and city. We do not store your IP address, and we do not keep the browser identification string itself — only which of those categories it fell into.
We count visits without cookies: a small script from JG Core Ltd (jgcore.com) records the page, the referring site and a daily-rotated, irreversible code so a visit isn’t counted twice. Nothing is stored on your device. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. Your browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting turns it off.
Who processes data for us
Vercel hosts the site and serves every page, so it handles your request, including your IP address, as any web host must. Cloudflare carries our traffic count from Vercel to our server, and Hetzner (Germany) hosts that server and the daily totals. Google provides Google Analytics (only if you choose Analytics only or Accept all) and AdSense ads (only if you choose Accept all). Amazon Web Services receives and stores email sent to us, encrypted, in London. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Traffic totals are daily counts that do not identify anyone, and we keep them while the site runs. Google Analytics keeps user-level data for the retention period set in our account, at most 14 months. Google’s advertising cookies last up to 13 months. Emails you send us are deleted 12 months after they arrive. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it. Our hosts keep short-lived server logs under their own policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or move it. You can withdraw analytics or advertising consent at any time (see below). Write to info@jgcore.com. Because we do not store IP addresses or identifiers ourselves, we usually hold nothing that can be linked to you. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Changing your mind
Clear the cookie_consent entry from your browser’s local storage for this site. The banner reappears and you can answer again. Clearing site data in your browser settings does the same thing. If you withdraw advertising consent, reload the page to stop the ad script.
What we never do
We do not sell what we collect, we show no ads unless you accept them, and we do not send marketing email — there is nowhere on the site to give us an address. Last updated 30 October 2026.
